About Adverse Childhood Experience
Research shows that the number one contributor to our public health crisis is Adverse Childhood Experiences, otherwise known as ACEs. The ACEs study , done in the early 1990’s scientifically shows that experiences during specific periods of brain development in childhood cause toxic stress or trauma. By understanding this study and becoming a trauma responsive society, we are able to heal the brain and better manage physical and emotional issues, thus diminishing our public health crisis.
